This elegant young premium graded stallion (SHB[GB]) has impeccable bloodlines for eventing, being a son of the extraordinary Headley Britannia, winner of the Badminton, Burghley and Kentucky 4* events, by the Oldenburg stallion Royaldik whose dam is full sister to Heraldik, the outstanding sire of international eventers. Britannia Royal is a short-coupled uphill horse with excellent conformation, a lovely balanced canter and a quick athletic jump. He has a tremendously calm, trainable temperament and has been a pleasure to handle from birth. He was awarded a Certificate of Merit at the prestigious British Breeders Awards Dinner earlier this year for his performance in the three-year-old in-hand class at Osberton International Horse Trials.
He has also made an excellent start to his stud career with 100% fertility, from a single covering, on a small number of mares. His first foal is a very correct chestnut filly with excellent movement, virtually a clone of her sire at the same age!
