Lucy Johnston has competed for the last 3 years with her pony Tynan Mist (Apollo) they have rarely been out of the top 3, 2016 they progressed into Pony 2* with the view to gaining 5 required qualifications for their 1st International in 2017 having completed 3 to date with 2 x 2nd's and a 4th their results are forever consistant.
In 2017 Lucy will attend Team training with the view to aim towards European teams if all still continues to continue like 2016. They were on the winning team in England at the P Club Eventing Championships in 2015 at Novice Level and was the highest placed Irish rider in their arena. 2016 they won the Pony Club Area Trials at Intermediate level but unfortunately competitions with Eventing Ireland prevented travelling to England again. They also compete regularly in NI Dressage and Pony Club competitions and Working Hunter, Lucy will also have 2 young ponies out in 2017 with Eventing Ireland.
Lucy is a very determined/competitive rider, and is a hard working pony rider who also works every free hr in our Riding School to enable her to compete at this level.
2017 has continued to be successful for Lucy and Tynan Mist gaining her qualifications to compete at Tattersalls International with a 1st in Tyrella 1 EI100, 12th in Tyrella 2 Pony 2*, Tyrella 3 1st in Pony 2*, Maddybenny 1 3rd in Pony 2*, Punchestown 4th in Pony 2* and Tattersalls International 6th. Lucy has only just turned 15 therefore had a further year in this exciting combination. Our next outing will be Kilguilkey House International Event from 30/06/17 - 02/07/17 which will dictate our next steps for 2017.
