Description

I am an Event rider who has been competing in Ireland since 2009 but will be moving to England to be based with Chris Bartle (German Team Coach) for the 2015 season. I have competed in 3 European Eventing Championships for Juniors, starting when I was only 14 years old, with my best placing being Individual 4th and winning Team Silver. In 2010 I rode in the Pony Dressage European Championships as an individual for Ireland, and to as far as my knowledge, that makes me the only Irish Rider to have competed in two European Championships in the same year. I will be taking 3 horses (Kilminchy Condor, Oliver's Green and Kilcannon Coolguy) with me to England (all at Intermediate level) and two of those horses will be aimed towards upgrading to Advanced level (Kilminchy Condor and Kilcannon Coolguy). I am hoping that my string of horses will grow once I have moved to England and set up my own yard after being at Chris'. I am currently retraining a race horse called Blackstairmountain for Willie Mullins and his Owner and he will make his eventing debut in 2015. In 2012 I started a breeding programme at my yard in Northern Ireland which specialises in Artifical Insemination, caring and foaling broodmares and keeping Youngstock. I currently have 6 two and three year olds that I have bred with my mother as well as two half brothers to my Intermediate eventer Kilcannon Coolguy that I purchased this summer. My aim for 2015 is to be on the Irish Young Rider European Eventing squad that will travel to Poland and to compete at Advanved/CIC***. My main goal is to be on the Irish Senior squad by 2016/17 and heading to the Japanese Olympics in 2020.
