Skills

I can complete all standard yard duties to high standard (clipping, pulling, mucking out, etc.)

Driving licence up to 3.5t, working towards provisional up to 32t.

Work Experience:

Harry Bateman Showjumping / Home and Show Groom/ Home Rider

When working for Harry I completed basic yard tasks (mucking out/haynets feed etc) and rode a variety of young horses including stallions and freshly backed 4yos as well as more experienced horses. I have also groomed for him at day shows which included getting horses ready for classes and ensuring they were at the arena in time to be warmed up for their classes.

Danielle Dickson Showjumper/ Show Groom

I have groomed for Danielle at a variety of shows including multi day shows (inc the Welsh Masters) and a variety day shows. When at the shows i completed your standard tasks (mucking out, ensuring the horses had plenty of hay and water, prepping for their classes ensuring they were at the arena in time etc.) as well as exercising on their days off at multi day shows.

Assouline Dressage / Home Groom

I have completed a days work experience at Assouline dressage where i completed standard yard chores including mucking out, haying and watering the horses, grooming, tack cleaning etc.

The Ladies of Lente Show Team/ Home and Show Rider

I am currently a rider for the show team ‘The Ladies of Lente’. I show to a county standard both astride and aside and have produced high placings against professional producers. While at Lente I have competed in unaffiliated  Dressage and Showjumping competitions sidesaddle against all astride riders producing high results including a team dressage win against all astride teams as an all side saddle team. As part of riding for team Lente I am assisting in the rehab of an ex racer and an event horse after they have both sustained leg injuries, we are hoping both will return to the show ring this season. I am also producing a cob x fell rescue for the show ring, she had her debut show last September where she gained a third in dressage and in her first showing show she gained a 4th and 1st against professional producers.

Riding Experience

I have been riding for over 14 years

Produced my first pony, from the age of 10 (with the help of an instructor), from a driving pony lightly broken under saddle to a pony club school master.

Have ridden a variety of horses and ponies, from backer/breaker and ex racehorses off the track to dressage school masters and talented jumpers as well as pretty much everything else in between.

Lots of experience bringing horses back into work.

Training at home round 1.20/1.30

Many firsts across all disciplines unaffiliated.

BSJA experience: High placings BSJA including firsts; ridden at a variety of shows, including the Al Shira’aa Derby, on a variety of horses up to Newcomers/1.10m.

Shown astride and aside to county standard including top placings, helping to improve and ensure my turnout standard is impeccable.

Trained with a variety of people including Paul Gaff, Danielle Dickson, Annette Lewis and more.

Achievements

Jump 4 Joy Showjumps Ambassador 2018/19

Sponsored by Elegant Equines

Short listed by Paul Gaff as show jumping sponsored rider

Brought showjumper with 2nd/3rd degree burns on back neck and poll area back into full work.

Aims for the Future

My ultimate goal is to be able to make a career out of my riding competing across the world.

My main short term goal is to make it to the u25 finals at Olympia, I have 6 years to achieve this which I feel is a reasonable amount of time.

I'd love to fulfill every little girl's dream of competing in the Olympics and would love to compete on the LGCT.

In the coming years I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible travelling alongside an up and coming/already established team.
