Description

Clare holds the British Horse Society Intermediate Instructor and Stable Managers qualification (BHSII-SM), a certificate in Education and a PGCE in Sports coaching. Clare has free lance ridden and groomed for various eventing and competition yards before running her own livery and schooling yard for 10 years. Clare has also worked as a racing secretary and also rehabilitation and retraining racehorses at Scudamore Caro racing. She has also worked in the accounts department at Three Counties Equine Hospital whilst freelance riding and teaching before joining the Hartpury College Team. She still regularly competes in showjumping, Dressage and some unaffiliated eventing with young or inexperienced horses of her own or for other people. She is currently a Further Education Lecturer and course tutor to the Extended Diploma in Horse Management (Business) at Hartpury College teaching, An Introduction to the Horse Racing Industry, Understand the Principals of Equitation, Undertake Equestrian Teaching, Starting a Small Business, Retail and Merchandising and Business Management in the land based Sector. She also manages and teaches the Further Education Grooms Academy, helps and advises for the Hartpury College Equestrian Club and is the Hartpury College NSEA team manager.
