Caron Roberts is surrounded by a team of young professionals who ensure the horses are looked after and individually catered for to a high standard. Working pupils are encouraged and supported as they develop their careers through hands-on training, lessons and apprenticeship schemes and working pupils are welcome to bring their own horses into the program. A former working pupil herself, Caron has a passion for sharing knowledge and thrives on watching the success of her pupils & clients. The yard offers a wide range of horses, from youngsters to 2* eventers. This provides our team with a broad knowledge and view of the industry. Pupils enjoy getting to know the horses they look after and following their journey's. NVQ qualifications are also available as well as other government funding training such as LGV. This follows Caron's passion to ensure that when our pupils are ready to make the next step of their journey they have as many qualifications as possible and fully equipped to progress within the industry. As well as daily yard routines, we ensure daily hands on training including horse care theory, business studies, ridden lessons and most important hands on practicals.
About the facility
Lanes Farm is located 5 mins from junction 16 of the M4 and is an ideal training base for young riders. The property offers acres of turn-out, lush grass and hacking, both on and off-road. The 2 large 60m x 40m arena’s are stocked with a range of jumps and poles, while the yard offers rubber matting, hot water wash areas, a solarium, a lunge pen and covered horse walker.
Staff live on-site in attached purpose built, modern accommodation, while the property is securely gated and monitored by security CCTV and alarm systems.
