16.2h 8 year old Irish sports horse with excellent bloodlines
Ace is a fabulous eventer, ready to step up and go round a Novice this season with someone who wants a safe and fun horse. Very sad sale due to change in circumstances, he is a once in a lifetime horse and whoever he ends up with will be EXTREMELY lucky to have him.
He has been jumping in 1m, 1.05m and 1.10 BSJA classes in the last 3 months and came 3rd in the last Discovery class (I was riding on a ticket so he still has no points, allowing him entry into anything at the moment)
He mainly gets a double clear or 1 unlucky pole just as a result of continuous improvement of technique – he has never refused a jump in this life either show jumping or XC, he will quite literally jump anything and is the most genuine little horse you will ever sit. He tries his hardest 100% Of the time. Because he is so willing I have taken my time with him and only competed up to BE100, but he is raring to go and ready for more in a pair of safe hands that won’t take advantage of his good willing nature and will make good decisions in how they take him round.
Dressage average scores around 60-65% and there is a lot of potential for this to improve as he has the paces.
He has had a number of BE runs at 90 and 100 and gone clear XC every time. He would easily make the time but has not been pushed hard. He has had double clears doing riding club BE challenges around BE courses, with no troubles nothing is difficult for him he just takes it all in his stride.
He loads easily, Good to clip and shoe, no vices etc.
He can be ridden a few times a week or less and will still be his chilled out self. He is a true softy and one of the most relaxed horses to be around. When he starts jumping it is like a little light switches on and he is a lot more alert and buzzy – the best of both worlds.
Fun and bouncy hack but always safe and sensible, never bucks/rears/tanks off etc. 100% in traffic and non-spooky.
Will hunt (and has hunted in Ireland) and hack on his own or in groups.
