Grassroots / U18 Superstar - Someone’s pony of a lifetime.14.1hh Piebald Welsh Part Bred 9yr old Mare by The GamblerTaragwyndy Maddi RoseI brought Rosie in the Autumn of last year as a fun project, it quickly became apparent she’d become a lot more than that and has exceeded all expectations. She has the biggest of hearts and fire in her belly! Somebody’s pony of a lifetime! Rosie adores her job and will try her heart out for you and for a pony that only learnt to jump when I got her she has racked up quite an impressive write up of results.
As well as numerous placing UA SJ, Dressage and Combined Training.Rosie is nicely schooled on the flat, a forward and responsive ride with three correct, rhythmical paces who produces an accurate test scoring 70+% at Prelim. Showjumping Rosie is very much point and go, she is careful and tries really hard to be helpful even when your on a misser! She’s jumping Double Clears round 90cm and is ready to progress. Much like her Showjumping Rosie loves Cross country. Skinnies, ditches, steps, water, no problem! She is so much fun! One undeserved blip on her record where I was over keen – which I’m more than happy to discuss! Rosie is guaranteed to bring you across the finish line with a smile on your face!Rosie hacks out alone and in company – can be weary of large oncoming traffic. Ie. Busses, lorries etc on our tight country roads! She has done loads of funrides and also rides and leads both ways! She’s been a hero for leading my naughty event horse off on canter hacks! She’s good to box and travels like a rock in a lorry or trailer! Roise is good to clip but does need twitching for her head. When I got Rosie she was in poor condition and had a fear of men. This meant having her feet done was a bit nerve wracking for her. She is absolutely fine to actually have her feet done once my farrier is next to her and has picked up her leg – she is shod in front and barefoot behind. She is however nervous when he actually approaches her. Over the past 10months she has chilled out immensely and is now quite happy and relaxed when he approaches but she might need to get used to a new farrier! It’s very important to me that she goes to a home that understands that for whatever reason, possibly something that’s happened to her in the past she doesn’t automatically trust every new person she meets! Rosie lives in or out, on her own or with others but I don’t think she’d like to be on a yard where she is the only horse. She’s a proper character whom I absolutely adore and I’m in no rush to sell her – She’s the one that I’d choose to jump on to cheer me up after a long and stressful day! I’d like her to go to someone who wants to progress and carry on learning together whilst having fun and enjoying the legendary pony that she is! I’d love to see her at the grass roots champs or even Frickley u18 champs in the future! Although I have endeavored to give her the best education possible for her to carry on succeeding in her new home she is not a schoolmaster although an honest trier who aims to please, so competent 5* competition homes only please! Open to vet, no vices. Sold with Bridle and rugsLots more photos and videos available on request.I'm at work during the day and I'm often teaching or riding in the evenings so if there is no answer please leave a message or text and I will get back to you!
