Sad sale of our handsome chap!!
We bought Joey last year, prior to that he had done very little competitive Dressage however he is a quick learner and with great attitude to please he has now achieved many wins at Unaffiliated and BD Quest Club with scores consistently in the high 60's and early to mid 70's in both Intro and Prelim levels
At home he schools to Novice level, had we been keeping him we would have progressed to this level at competitions!
Last year Joey was part of a successful BYRDS Team Quest Team where they came 10th overall at the National finals at Bury Farm.
This year Joey has won unaffiliated championships both locally as well as winning the U12's Intro Championships of GB at Cricklands and came 9th in the U16's Prelim class earlier this year.
He has represented Dorset at the SW Region BYRDS Inter County Challenge finishing 10th overall in their Squad section and has qualified for BYRDS My Quest Regionals in both Intro (14 points from only 2 outings) and in the Prelim section too as well as being part of a Team too.
Joey has 4 prelim points from an Affiliated competition, we have only done one as we have concentrated on Quest Club this year
Joey also loves to jump and schools happily over 70-80cm SJ and XC and has competed in Unaffiliated SJ and ODE's at 50 and 60cm. He has really helped my daughters confidence in this department as she has been quite nervous of jumping
Joey is great with the farrier, good to load, catch etc and is always ridden in a snaffle. He does not get hot or fizzy and has never bolted, reared or bucked, he is a true gentleman with a fabulous character
He is only For sale as sadly my daughter has grown too tall for him already. ???
Joey is a straightforward ride and will work at any pace but is not a 1st pony. He would be suited to an active competent child, teenager or small adult as he likes to be busy
Comes with a correctly fitted GP saddle, bridle and some rugs. His dressage saddle is available by separate negotiation
He will not be available to leave us till mid October in order to finish the Quest Club Regionals at Summerhouse.
